Crest 9001 fault
Hi,
I have a faulty Crest 9001 here. I believe the fault is on the DSP PCB, the circuit board on the front panel where the volume pots are and the protect/limit circuitry etc is. I eventually managed to get emailed the schematics for this amp via Peavey (I'm in the UK) but it doesn't include the schematics for this board. It seems very difficult to contact the Crest guy at Peavey UK, so I am hoping someone can help me here before this year is out. Anyone have any pointers to this schematic, or any usual suspects to look for? I notice the surface mount electrolytics on this board look as if the plastic printed coating has shrunk, like they have been at high temp for a long time. Maybe they are made this way, I don't know. Cheers, Gareth. |
