The point is that the business on the I-15 is an indication that far

*So why do we need to waste money building a rail line?
I'd much rather have a solar power plant and a desalination plant

Here's an issue for you to get off your butt and do something about,
2pid! You can lobby to halt water subsidies to alfalfa growers.

It'll decimate the California beef industry, which in turn will
negativelt effect taco stands and reduce illegal immigration.

A "win-win" for sure!

The Carlsbad desalination plant cost is $300M capable of supplying
50M gal/day. *So for 8B we can get 26 desalination plants
supplying 1.3B gals of water/day and it will be sourced
on the coast near areas of consumption.

See above. California has enough water if it was used efficiently.

Do you know Ca. uses for energy for pumping water than
any other use?

That's what you get when people decide to live in a desert, 2pid. Live
with it.

How many desalination plants are funded in the stimulus bill?
And they won't need subsidies to keep them operating after
construction like stupid trains do.

What will water cost per gallon to keep them in the black?
