Hi,

Just purchased a used R1 and am looking for a manual. Or someone who=20
can tell me what the "linear" button does. Seems like when it's out=20
some kind of loudness circuit is switched in. When it's in, loudness=20
and volume both seem to go away. Anyone know anything about this model?

Hmmm. Interesting. Could the "linear" button simply be a "stereo
direct" button, bypassing any processing, loudness, or tone controls?
Just a wild guess...
