Can anyone advise if tis is a good unit for audio tubes?

Depends on whether you need current readings. This one does not give
current readings. It does a good job testing for gas and shorts. The
auction description seems ok. I prefer my Hickok 752, but I don't do
current readings and I mostly test old radio tubes.
