Is there any way to use an old MOTU HD192 or 2408 'Audiowire' type
interface with a laptop ? Would presumably need either:
1 - An ExpressCard version of PCI-424
or
2 - Some sort of Firewire-to-Audiowire adaptor (driver ?) if actually
physically compatible.
Grateful any advice, but I do fear the answer is "no". Would have been
nice ....
Probably not what you need, it seems this should let you use your
current PCI card interface with a laptop, but it's an extra box, and
needs a PCI Express socket on the laptop as well as a mains supply, so
that's 4 extra things to hump round and lose. Not too bad if you are in
a studio, but not so good when out and about.
