As a further response to your comment I will say the following.

I don't doubt it for a moment. This makes the achievements of
people such as Williamson, Radford and Walker even more
remarkable. They used slide rules.


And the performaance of their circuits show it. They could have done so much
better with modern technology.

None of them are relevant to MODERN high-performance audio any more. They're
just a note in the references.
