I can see why.
Among the whole Edcore range of tube to load OPTs, they have a wide
range of 25W rated SEOPT of about 9.4 lbs, or over 4Kg, and all are
listed at $83.60

The only obvious problem with Edcore is their lack of multiple load
matchings, so there is no way you can properly use the 6k5:8 OPT if
you had 4 ohm speakers.
This places the Hammond range of similar sized SEOPTs as being much
more user friendly, with a choice of setable sec windings or 4,8,16
ohm taps..
Anyone offering a SE OPT rated for 16W at $400 could be asking too
much.
