NRI Model 70 Tube Tester Settings for EL34, KT88
Same as the 6CA7 for the EL34. And for the KT88/6550, excepting the
bias. The bias on the KT88 will be approximately 1/4 that of the
EL34/6CA7.
6L6/5881 has a bias (on a Hickok) of 3.3V, but all the same pin
settings.
6CA7/EL34 has a bias of 5.5 V
KT88/6550 has a bias of 1.4V
All other settings are the same.
Now, if the NRI unit is only an emissions-tester, then all settings
will be the same. Mind the line-voltage setting.
An emissions tester is NOT a good way to test power-tubes except at the
very-most-basic level.... filament, shorts and gas. And you cannot
match in any way, shape or form with an emissions tester. At all.
