Yes, 30 watts hum from a NAD caused one of the resistors to catch fire.
Darn stereominijack that got pulled out of a computer and touched
computer case with the tip.

Me, VCR repair, late @ work, friends, Winter. Typical mechanical problem, fixed it right up. Went to have a smoke outside. Walked back to button-up VCR, touched PC board, ZAP (static electricity)! Dead VCR!
