They work great if you have an 8 volt heater supply. If you run them
on 6.3 volts their emission gets crappy in awhile. If I was building a
tube preamp and could lay in a dozen or two I'd go to the bother, but
no commercial builder will, because the **** eaters would reject it as
unrollerfriendly.
