MOSFET, I was hoping that you would chime in here on my posted question
sometime, it just took you a while.......... hope you have been ok.

I am very interested in all your points, and I will definitely look into the
Alpine Type R component series. I also plan to make some measurements in
my dash this weekend, to see if I could "adapt an adaptor" to squeeze in
6.5 speakers. They make an adapter for the Jeep to go from stock 4 x 6
to 5.25, but maybe that adapter could be modified in some way. But,
there must be room behind the dash to begin with, and I can make a simple
template and see how it might work.
