Yeah, I just read Roger Nichols' article in this month's EQ and he stated
that DiscMakers has made a distribution deal with iTunes for product that
receives the UPC from them. A little added incentive to use DiscMakers I
guess. I wonder if that applies to previously released product. Guess I'll
have to talk to my contact and see. I've got maybe 10 releases through
DiscMakers out.

I don't think Jobs would entertain the thought of trying to handle
separate
distribution setups. His vision didn't seem to indicate that he would

thinking outside of the major's catalogs.
I read an article somewhere which said Apple would be distributing music
from indie *labels*. The article did say that it was the same deal for
everyone, take it or leave it, because Apple wasn't interested in
negotiating with dozens of labels. I believe Matador is the first indie
label to have its music distributed by ITMS.
