Hello. I mosty agree with you except this paragraph. Mathematic,
acoustic, physic are all sciences. They are concrete, scientific,
rational.
On the other hand, the term "esoteric" is the very contrary to all this.
Here is this definition I found : "beyond ordinary knowledge or
understanding; hidden or inner knowledge reserved for initiates". We
are in the irrationnal, the voodoo, the 3000$ speaker cable!
Hence, anything based on scientific knowledge cannot be called esoteric.
The website I referenced is based on science, not voodoo. I'm sure
other sources of info may be found on google.
