Ok, the multitracks are interesting.
The early Beatles "stereo" were made before consoles
Had pan pots so they are not really mixes as Scott mentioned.
I happen to like that style but it is a matter of opinion.
They are not stereo, they are two track multitracks released sans mixdown
because of a (too late) business decision to go for the stereo fad that they
had thought wouldn't take off and thuse not built studios to make popular
style recordins for.
