Default yamaha rx v596 and aiwa sd dv370

In the U.S. Yamaha is a stickler for the terms of their warranty. I doubt if
they'd bend, but you could try them and see.

thanks for this info. Do you know if Yamaha normally replaces it without
cost, even out of waranty?

On the Yamaha the selector switch is a common problem. There is an

improved
part for this. Not a DIY repair for most people.

Hello, i don't know if these are the correct newsgroups to post this,

but
i'll begin he
I've got two problems with some of my equipment:

1. Yamaha Rx-v596 receiver: on this receiver there is a dial selector

for
the various functions, i.e. radio, phono, tv, dvd, etc. Since a few

weeks
this selector does not seem to select the function immediately

anymore.
In
fact, sometimes you have to turn the know completely two or three

rotations
to get any response. Doese anyone else have this issue? Is it known

on
this receiver?

2. Aiwa SD DV370 DVD player: This player supposedly plays everything,

DVD,
MP3, VCD, SVCD etc. It does do this, but sometimes it does not play

VCD
or
SVCD's which do play on other players. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help....
