It does, when there isn't deep low end extension. I am increasingly
convinced that the secret to keeping rock concert levels sane is to have
deep, deep bass extension, going down to the drop below 20 Hz if at all
possible. This allows people to get that visceral bass feeling without
crazy high levels.

Those old W-bins do not go deep enough. You add a lot of slap at 100 Hz
and what you get is unintelligible mush.

The problem is that it's very difficult to do right, although in part thanks
to the crazy EDM people, we are starting to get cabinets designed for the
purpose finally.
