Don't blame the victim. The 6V6 tube was very popular w/ Fender in the
below 30 watt guitar amp category. However, the tube will not compensate
for poor surrounding circuits, pickups, speakers, etc. I would suggest
trying them in amps of known quality; i.e. Fender Princeton or Delux.
I've used both of these in the past and was quite pleased with the tone.

best regards,

Has anyone had the chance to try these tubes in audio/guitar amps ? If
yes how do they sound? are they worth the premium price ? I read the

selling a bunch off in auction of 5 10 20 120 tubes per auction. I'm
tempted

I got one at a hamfest a while back. I tried it in a 5F2-A Princeton
clone I scratch built, I was pretty underwhelmed. RCA and Sylvania 6V6
tubes sound much better in my amp than the Bendix. The 5992 tube
sounded kinda dry and flat, not a lot of sparkle.
