Does the old cage just slip out? Or do I have to unbend the little
tabs to get it loose?
Or do I have to remove some part of the Mustang's center plastic cover
to get at it?

If I can do all this without removing the Mustang's center plastic
console, that would be very good news.

The new unit arrives on Thursday and I'll follow up here on whatever
happens - I sure hope the front aux input works - that is really the
only reason for doing this.
