Single Large Advent Speaker, $89

One of the best speakers ever. Mentioned in Stereophiles top 100 audio items in
the last 40 years.

The Advent Loudspeaker - a classic design by Henry Kloss, a brilliant speaker
designer who began at AR, was the "K" in KLH, started Advent and was associated
with Cambridge Sound. Mr. Kloss passed away in 2002. Over 500,000 pair of these
speakers were sold!

This is an original version with the "utiltiy" walnut vinyl cabinet. 2-way
design, 10" woofer in 12" frames and the famous off-set orange donut cone
tweeter. Original grill cloth and Advent logos. Cabinet is in good condition
but does have a few corner crushes and dings. Original drivers are in
outstanding condition and fully functional. Woofers foam was probably replaced
a while back but it currently good. High frequency control only operates in the
"extended" position. This compliments the natural roll off of this speakers
high frequency response. The image is of the actual speaker offered.

Excellent sound from one of the best selling speakers of all time. Great bass,
smooth midrange, gently rolled off treble to create outstanding sound. These
speakers take the bright edge off those hotly recorded CD's. When Henry Kloss
"voiced" this speaker he created a very balanced octive to octive response that
still sounds great 30 years later! You don't see many of these offered -
because people like them too much! This speaker was recently listed in
Sterophile all time best audio products. These originally sold for $280 pr. in
the early 70's. I can offer a single Large Advent for $89 plus shipping (approx
45lbs gross each). Use with a vintage mono or center in a modern surround sound
system.
