I am going to have to politely disagree with your "Nothin' too hi-end
required" statement. At any given time there are around 220 tube
testers for sale on ebay, and 200 or so are basically just toys
(emissions testers) - A Hickok 533 or TV-7A/U is about the lowest cost
of the real tube testers, if he is not ready to spend at least $200
for a mutual conductance tester (and another $100+ for a proper
calibration) then he is just ****ing in the wind with anything less.
He might as well stick with an $8 ohm meter from Home Depot.
