You will be able to use a portable cassette player or walkman with it.
Has 8 frequencies to choose from, hardwired and should not drift like
the transmitter units. Since you want to keep your existing factory HU
due to the satellite navigation system, this may be your best choice.

Since you primarily use cassette to record off the radio, have you
considered getting a minidisc recorder? Much better SQ than cassette,
and if you use LP2 or LP4 recording you can squeeze an huge amount of
audio onto a single MD. A single 80 min MD will get 320 min at LP4
recording.
