I've formed some analogies:
linearity of audio recorder= lens quality
frequency range of recorder=color accuracy
bit depth of recorder= pixel count

Any truth to that?

24 bit is denser than say 16

far as a camera.. see it the same as sound.. just depends on how dense
the pixels are.
