Define "valid". No, I don't think they're necessarily lying (they may be).
All I can say is that they're being sensationalistic. This is pretty much
the norm for these kind of organizations. Hell, organizations like MADD
flat out lie all the time about the statistics they gather, but it doesn't
mean their organization is bad.
