Just curious, was the burnt part directly behind the rear
mounting screw? (if looking at the back)

Ya get your money back. If it is not as it is stated in the description
then
Ebay will get your money back. But I am not sure how long it will take.
You do
not want to spend another dime on that thing if you dont know if it even
works.
But even if you have to wait 6 weeks it beats no radio and no money.
