Maybe in a rock situation, but the saw player in the Sunshine Skiffle
Band (cornet, clarinet, jug, guitar, banjo, washboard, harmonica, saw)
seems to come through just fine even without a mic. It's just one of
those sounds. Probalby wouldn't in a 20,000 seat arena, but then
nobody goes to shows like that to hear a saw player.
