yes you can use the stock head unit for an amplifier for subs. You do
need to get a hi/lo converter, basically it taps into the rear speaker
wires and converts the hi level outuputs to low lever so you can hook up
an amp via RCA cables. YOU WILL NOT get the best sound quality that you
would get if you changed the head unit. if you do get the inverter, go
to a quality stereo shop to get the part dont go to walmart
