It's no different than regular multi-tracking. The computer doesn't know (or
care) that the signal is coming back from your mixer anymore than it knows
or cares you're overdubbing a guitar track for example. It's entirely valid
to do so. Many people use outboard stuff and bring it back into the
computer.
