Default Best digital music recording program

There doesn't appear to be a difference between a digital music

The soft synth _GENERATES_ digital audio. It does not _RECORD_ audio.
You record audio digitally by using a microphone and an an
analog-to-digital converter.

The Wiki definition is accurate. In what's traditionally known as the
recording processes in this context, the music is generated by musicians
playing instruments that create audio, usually music, and then that
audio is recorded digitally.
