I'm looking for software that I can use to score film and enter MIDI
data by just writing the music the old fashion way but on my DAW.

Does anybody know if pro-tools has a plug-in or can anyone give me a
recommendation on software I can rewire?

I just want some user friendly software that I won't have to use
keyboard to enter the MIDI data 1 track at a time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sibelius is one of the main ones in common use. Probably lots of
others around too. Google"music notation software".

I heard of finale' How does that one rate? Where can I get honest
ratings of this kind of software?

Ah Finale, I remember that from way back. All tthe serious musos and
students I know use Sibelius - don't know if that's a sc=ufficient
recommendation. Surely there is a free download demo ?

The manual for Finale is about 500 pages... it's massive and complex,
and the worst of it's problems (in 2000) were in talking to printers.
