This is a exceptionally clean Sony stereo receiver. This G3 Receiver is
in excellent condition and includes the original manual, accessories and
box/packing. I¹m the original owner and the receiver works & sounds
wonderful. I have never had any problems with it. The Egg shape remote
is an unusual item for a receiver and works great for controlling the
receiver. It works just like a computer mouse. This Sony STR-G3 receiver
also has an IR remote sensor built in. This is in addition to the EGG
Remote which uses RF and is not a standard feature you will find on
other STR-G3 receivers. The receiver can be controlled by a separate IR
remote. Any universal programmable remote will work. Just program in the
code for a Sony receiver. This makes it easy to control the volume with
a cable box or satellite receiver remote.

I recently upgraded to a Dolby digital/DTS receiver so it¹s excess to my
needs. The original cost of this mid 1990¹s receiver was about $1000
new. It has a built in Dolby Pro Logic Surround Decoder and digital
signal processing for producing various sound fields. The receiver also
comes with and IR repeater for controlling other system components. The
receiver is able to easily control CD, DVD and VCR¹s using only one
remote.
