Eject player. It is likely to cost less to get a new one than to get it
adjusted and if it is the laser head wires that suffer from degraded,
stiffened insulation, then adjustment + spareparts could get absurd.

It is also absurd that it is cheaper to discard things than to repair
them, but THAT is the topic matter of some other newsgroup, and it is
not totally impossible that economic cost reflects resource cost fairly.
