Can you run Phantom Power to non-condenser mics?

This is correct for dynamics with balanced outputs that use a
transformer (for those, the phantom power will cancel between the two
legs) but might not be correct for single ended dynamics. For those,
the 48 VDC will result in a displacement of the diaphragm, and at the
least have an effect on dynamic range.
