Default Dash Speakers/Front Door Speakers for 1997 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer

Sure. The tweeters have crossovers built-in. If your vehicle doesn't have
the wires in the dash cavities, you'll have to run an additional set from
the radio (or kick panels!) to the dash locations.

Does the stock radio I have now (but may be replacing soon) support
these tweeters?

Oh yeah - I have a supplier that has the 4x6 plate tweeters available

new!
They're OEM and available left and right (of course)...

Yeah, it definitely helps! Thanks for the reply...

I agree.

Although the dash cutouts are 4x6, the location is reserved for tweeter
location in vehicles with upgraded audio packages (like the Bravada)

that

have 6-1/2" separates in the front. These vehicles will have wiring in

the

dash location and a tweeter in a 4x6 plate aimed toward the windshield.

In

vehicles that DON'T have the tweeters from the factory, there are no

wires

in the cavities...

Hope this helps...

You could do it, but it would sound like ass. Two good sets of 6.5s

(coaxes

or components) will sound awesome.

I'm looking to replace some factory speakers in my 1997 Chevy S-10
Blazer. I know the dimensions of the speakers a

Dash: 4"x6"
Front Door: 6-1/2"
Rear Door: 6-1/2"

However, if I even HAVE dash speakers, they don't work. The S-10
pickup has the same "front-end" as the Blazer, so I'm thinking that
the dash speakers are only used in a pickup configuration. In that
case, the dash speakers are the fronts, and the front door speakers
become the rears. As I have four doors, I only use the front door

and
rear door speakers, and not the dash.

If I were to put some 4x6s in the dash, would my stock POS radio be
able to support 6 speakers? Would a NEW radio be able to support 6?
Lastly, what do I buy if I can't find 6-1/2" circles?

Thanks in advance!
