If the coaxial speaker was built with the same parts and had a crossover as
good as the comp set then there's no reason they shoudn't outperform the
components. Probably the best speakers I've owner were the Kef KAR UniQ
point source drivers. The mid and tweeter had the magnets on the same plane
and were absolutely gorgeous sounding.
