That just reminded me that the response from a speaker is going to be different
at 3 feet than a few Cm.

actually, simplest ideas are sometimes the best ones. A speaker from a
headphone may be ok. My problem in that case: low frequency response
(still wants something at 110-150Hz) and of course high freq response
(40 kHz). Not speaking of the frequency response at 1 centimeter or at
4 centimeters, i guess it must be very different.
Shielding is a problem. I just realized the Tannoy are not shielded
and it is a problem to me. As someone said, it is better if it has
been designed this way.
Does someone know some companies making headphones to insert in the
ear or headphones with large bandwidth ?
