I'm looking for any comments regarding Krell's newest preamp, the KAV 280p and
how it compares with the KRC3. Anyone compare the two?
I currently own the KRC3 and am wanting to upgrade -the silver chassis on the
new KAV line is beautiful!
Thanks,
David.

I can't give you any comments about the Krell KAV-280p, because I
haven't used it in my system.
The Krell KCR-3 is one of my favorites, it sounds wonderfull.
But I think if you want to make a big improvement, go for the Krell
KRC-HR or the new Krell KCT.
A friend of mine is using the new Krell KCT and blew away his 'old'
Krell KRC-2 which is absolutly a very good pre-amp, infact I think it
is very much in the same class as the Krell KRC-3.

Why don't you go to your local dealer and listen to the Krell KAV-280p
and tell them that you own the Krell KRC-3 and that you wonder if the
new unit better is than the one you already own now.
Maybe they can arange something for you !!

Good luck ...
