Straw man argument. I never said any such thing.

If I were sadistic, I'd reproduce the fire storms that invariably resulted
when Middius showed his miserable persona on the same audio groups where
he's sifted through thousands of my posts, to come up with these few
exceptions.

Nothing's perfect, folks. But, Middius is far more imperfect than most.

Please tell Turdy that because of my skill in using complex software
like Google's search engine, I not only read zero (0) of the Beast's
own posts, but I only had to "sift through" a few dozen posts from
regular people that illustrate his ****fulness.

Google doesn't lie to me. Does that mean I'm exerting my mind
control over it? ;-)

Damning indictment. I must admit that I'm an infrequent visitor to this
newsgroup. Whenever I do visit, the one constant that I always notice is
that Arny seems to be a lightning rod of criticism.

It's easy to predict that this will be true until either of us goes away.

If I go away, Middius just moves on to his next victim.

It's not about me, it's about Middius and his clique on a power trip.

Sir,

Please consider this NG as a prime time entertainement where my old Arny is
the heroe, a kind of Dallas with our Arny alias J.R.
Don't try to find here any audio advises.
In the past a guy call Mr. Middius

French one behind me."

....Sorry my mouse is little bit nervous ! I start again.

Sir,

Please consider this NG as a prime time entertainement in which our old Arny
is the heroe, a kind of Dallas with our Arny in J.R.'s role !

Don't try to find here any audio discussion or advises.

Long time ago a guy call Mr. Middius said "something" to Arny which cause
him a sudden schizophrenia crisis. As he already had a strong paranoid
symptom the result is very interesting.
He acts here as an artful predator, a kind of tea time for a snake in a
birdland...

"If I go away, Middius just moves on to his next victim."
You can acknowledge with us that he perfectly summerize in this sentence the
basic symptoms of these mental affections : he has a kind of divine mission
to accomplish here.

If you already meet Arny in other NG or at church on Sunday morning you
cannot imagine that it's the same guy who use to post here.

What about me ? I try to help him in a long time therapy and work my english
in a recreative way.

Lionel

PS :
I have alway thought that old George has a tank-perception of the human
being, I was wrong !!!
This is exactly what Frenchies love American think about them.
No offense !

Just showing tough love for a few aggressive, immature dumb guys, and help
for normal people who are sincere about audio but have questions.

Not at all. My point is that Middius and his clique are habitual predators.
They're not going to change and I'm not going to keep them from attacking
who they will.

When one is dealing with aggressive dumb guys who are habitual predators,

And you're right there in junior high with them. I challenged you to
stop for a week, and you couldn't. You just couldn't stop. I don't
think Middius is any more to blame than you, Arny. You thrive on
this...whatever you call it that you do here.

Wrong Daniel, I didn't. Why? No known benefit for doing so other than
jumping through a hoop for you. Who the heck do you think you are that I
should jump through hoops for you?

>You just couldn't stop.

Give me a good reason to stop other than winding up your ego, Daniel. Just
one that stands scrutiny.

Your true colors show Daniel. I've been expecting this. What took you so
long?

>You thrive on this...whatever you call it that you do here.

I'd prefer to thrive on audio, but I'm pretty omnivorous. If you've really
studied the archives you know that I came in here doing audio posts and I've
done more audio posts than anybody else over the past 6 years, possibly
anybody in the history of the newsgroup.

Now, let's talk about George Middius the guy who like to post primarily
about audio. There is no such thing!

As things stand Daniel, you're just one more guy who likes to do the
personal attack thing like Middius and the rest of his clique, one who has
already demonstrated that you could give a crap less about audio.

Daniel, you can stand in line right over there behind Middius, 'cause that's
where you belong.

Of course there would have been a known benefit. It would have made
the atmosphere less contentious around here.

>Who the heck do you think you are that I should jump through hoops for you?

Exactly what I was thinking when you wanted me to quote things from a
conversation that just happened a day or two ago here on RAO. The fact
that you wanted me to waste my time cutting and pasting from a
conversation that *you* weren't willing to waste the time producing
showed that you think *you* can make people jump through hoops while
the rest of us can just go to hell.

It's just the "true colors" of most of the posters on RAO, if the past
history of the group can be believed.

This is the way it always is - someone makes a rational observation
and, because you can't handle it, it becomes a personal attack. Well,
you should know about personal attacks since you throw so many of them
out there, right Mr. Krueger?

"If you take two cars, say a Yugo and a Ferrari. If you place you into
each passenger seat (*), blind fold you, put on headphones so you can
not hear, then drive down a super smooth road, at a constant 10mph in
a straight line.. Would you be able to detect any differences between

they will be very similar, or almost indistinguishable.. But, in
actual use, X, Y and Z are no alwasy the case. Big Deal.

Actually, there are people who do stuff like this for a living - its
called competitive car analysis, and its a big business in my home
town, Detroit. I even worked in a department of Chrysler that did
stuff like this. The answer is that its probable that most folks could
tell the difference between sitting in a Yugo and a Ferarri, even if
blindfolded in a stopped car. You may not even have to start the
engine!

Contrast that with the dismal situation in High End Audio".

Be sure that you specify that the piles of stones be kept small and
tightly packed. If the piles are loose, they may rattle. If the piles
sufficiently large, they may actually affect room acoustics more than
any number of other kinds of hyper-expensive tweaks that people seem
to affect, and you seem to be describing! ;-)

There may be a reason for that:

I think that getting high end people tuned into ABX and the significance of
the outcomes of controlled listening tests by any valid means is coming along
just fine. Remember, we've got an estimate of 29,000 posts on the topic on all
NG forums. The old saw is "call me what you want, but please mention my name!"
20+ years ago a small number of editors who controlled print media were able
to supress ABX if they wanted to. Now, with the web, the genie is out of the
bottle!

That would explain technical criticism, not the personal criticism.

BTW I've recently noticed an uptick in Usenet mentions of www.pcabx.com, my
round two approach to breaking the paper ragazine ABX logjam.

You had said you wanted to talk about audio. I challenged you, since
that's what *you said you wanted*, to do just that and not bother with
personal attacks. It wasn't about my ego, or your jumping through
hoops. It was in the interest of talking about audio that I made my
challenge. That was what you said you wanted. Obviously, I inferred
incorrectly that said "talking" might mean civilized discourse on your
part.

six days.

I made no claim that he does like to post about audio, just that *you*
are as in love with the personal attack as he. Your response to me
here proves that.

I didn't attack anyone. And I am not in anyone's clique.

What do you call that? OSAF?

In any case, good day, sir.

You haven't answered the question, Daniel.

> It wasn't about my ego, or your jumping through hoops.

Of course it is, Daniel.

>It was in the interest of talking about audio that I made my challenge.

What's stopping you and I from talking about audio?

>That was what you said you wanted.

What's stopping *anybody* from talking to me about audio?

What's stopping them from not attacking me personally?

>Obviously, I inferred

If you want to have civilized discourse with me, why not just do the right
thing yourself, Daniel?

Not answering that question, either.

Let's do that. Let's talk about your gratuitous attacks on me during the
past 6 days, Daniel.

Daniel takes Middius' side against me.

The good news is that you didn't attack me *every* day.

Doctor cure yourself.

>Your response to me here proves that.

Not at all. I simply don't want to let you trap me into being defenseless.
BTW Daniel, if you had a clean record I might even take you seriously.

The facts say otherwise. 4 essentially gratuitous attacks in 6 days, not
including the one I'm responding to.

I call it looking at the facts about your malevolence, Daniel.

> In any case, good day, sir.

Just guessing Daniel, but I think you just might have one more attack post
in you for the day. That would make it 6 attack-Arny posts in 6 days. All
I've done to you is take exception to your gratuitous attacks and point our
your hypocrisy.

I said, "Good day."
