Paul Bosselaers:
You are quite correct..... new speaker wires WILL NOT cure the popping
problem.
The problem could be caused by faulty components inside your amp..... leaky
semiconductors or electrolytics or by cracked or faulty solder connections
on the main board ...... or maybe a design over-sight. In any case I
don't think this is something that can be repaired at home.
A good suggestion for you is to take it to a service shop..... there are
shops that specialize in audio and stereo equipment..... and at the very
least have them evaluate the problem and give you a repair cost estimate so
you can make an intelligent repair decision with facts instead of internet
wild guesses.
This could easily be a simple repair..... or it could go the other way.
..... NO WAY to know without an experienced and knowledgeable tech getting
inside with the proper test equipment, tools, and replacement parts.
