I am buying M-Audio Revo 7.1 card and want to attcah it to my
Home Theater receiver via a digital coax cable. Radio Shack
had two cables, a 12 ft gold series for $20. There was another
one 6 ft long (Fusion audio series or something) for $40.
Second is half the length but twice as much. Any comments
if I will notice any quality difference?

In my experience the difference is negligible. and certainly not worth
$40! You'd need state of the art top notch throughout the system to
notice any kind of difference.
